Birding in Latin America

In terms of Birding and Nature tours Latin America and the Caribbean remains the number one destination. No wonder: there are close to 800 different ecosystems, incredible landscapes and thousands of different species. Hard to believe, but even new bird species are regularly discovered here. On one of our last Colombia tour we watched a still unnamed Antshrike in the Amazon. No wonder it is so extremely hard to select from about the circa 50 countries which to visit!?
Based on our 20+ years of experience in the region where we live seasonally during the last 15+ years we have filtered down the destinations into a bit more than a dozen countries.
