Mongolia

Mongolia has been always a fascinating country not just because of the living traditions, incredibly vast steppes, uplands and picturesque mountain ranges  but because of its almost untouched unique wildlife.
No wonder we visitied this country more than 30+ years ago, at a time when in the capital city, Ulaanbaatar still a huge statue of Stalin showed the direction for the people. Since than tons of things has changed but Mongolia's wildlife is still fascinating and inviting. If you come with us you will surely understand why.

This epic expedition ventures into the majestic Altai Mountains in Mongolia’s far west in a quest for truly enigmatic Snow Leopards. Every 5th Snow Leopard of the World lives in Mongolia. But there are good populations of other iconic species as well including Pallas’s Cat, Mongolian Saiga, Siberian Ibex and many more and we will have a really good chance to see them.

Beside the Mammals a long list of special birds species will be possible to see as well such as Altai Snowcock, Amur and Saker Falcon, Père David's Snowfinch, Lammergeier, White-winged Redstart, White-throated Bushchat, Rufous-streaked, Kozlov’s, Brown and Siberian Accentors, Asian Rosy-finch, Great Rosefinch, Mongolian Finch, Godlewski's Bunting, Swan Goose, White-headed Duck, Red-crested Pochard, Stejneger's ScoterPallas's SandgrousePallas's Fish-EagleMongolian Ground-Jay and White-headed Yellow Wagtail.
